I generally post about the individual women, but I thought it would be interesting to look at the major companies who appointed women to important jobs in 2007. A list of some of those companies includes Accenture, Adobe, Aeropostale, Aetna, Allstate, Amcore Financial, American Airlines, American Eagle Outfitters, American Express, American Stock Exchange, AOL, Avon, AXA Equitable, Bank of America, Barnes & Noble, Belo Corporation, Best Buy, BET Networks, Bon-Ton Stores, Borders Group, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Cablevision, Campbell Soup, Capital One, Caterpillar, Chevron, Chiquita Brands, Chrysler, CIT, Citi, Clorox, ConAgra, Conoco Phillips, Drugstore.com, Duke Energy, Dunkin' Donuts, Ethan Allen, Fidelity, First Republic, Ford, Fox News and Fox Business Network, Gap, General Electric, General Mills, H.J. Heinz, Hertz, HP, HSBC, ING, Illinois Tool Works, Ingersoll Rand, ITT, JC Penney, Johnson & Johnson, Juniper Networks, Kimberly Clark, Kodak, Kraft Foods, LSI Logic, La-Z-Boy, Lehman Brothers, Lenovo, Lifetime Entertainment, Liz Claiborne, Mass Mutual, Mastercard, MTV, Merrill Lynch, Nautilus, NBC, Neiman Marcus, New York Life, Nike, Peoples Bancorp, PepsiCo, P& G, Prudential Financial, Raytheon, RBS America, Reader’s Digest, Realogy, Sharper Image, Simon & Schuster, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Talbot's, TheStreet.com, Toys "R" Us, UBS Securities, United Airlines, United Stationers, United Technologies, UBS Securities, UPS International, US Bancorp, Viacom, Virgin USA, Volvo, Wachovia, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Walt Disney Internet Group, Wellpoint, Weyerhaeuser, Wrigley's, Xerox, and Yahoo!.

This is a great list but it would be great if it had links to posts on those companies in the "News on Women" blog.
You have great data here but it is hard to find- a simple tag of the company name would provide an excellent way to grab data and you can create a company directory that would be awesome (e.g. i simple click and you can get to all posts for women appointments at Pepsi).
I don't use TypePad so i do not know if there is an existing tag utility that would allow you to create a tag list of those company names- but can't imagine it is too hard?
Anyway...i love this blog so thank you for your efforts- gives us all inspiration!
